The VMware vCenter Operations Management Suite is a collection of infrastructure-management products for virtual data centers

The foundation of the vCenter Operations Management Suite is vCenter Operations Manager, which can analyze vSphere environmental statistics to provide a visual representation of the infrastructure's health, security risk and efficiency. The vCenter Operations Management Suite, which is intended to help administrators build a hybrid cloud infrastructure based on VMware products, is also available as part of VMware's vCloud Suite.

As of this writing, the VMware vCenter Operations Management Suite is available in four editions:

Foundation - includes a limited version of vCenter Operations Manager and is included free with vSphere.

Standard - includes the full functionality of vCenter Operations Manager and vCenter CapacityIQ (which is no longer available as a separate product).

Advanced - offers additional configuration and compliance features. This edition includes vCenter Infrastructure Navigator and vCenter Chargeback Manager and a limited version of Configuration Manager.

Enterprise - allows for operating system and application-level monitoring, change and configuration management. It includes full versions of all products included in lower levels of the suite.
