The Oracle virtualization support policy has been the source of much confusion lately.

Oracle had changed its policy to say it would support its E-Business Suite running on virtualization offerings from third-party platform vendors. But when word got out, Oracle clarified its virtualization support policy to say "hardware vendors," not "platform vendors" -- ruling out VMware, Microsoft, Citrix Systems and other potential competitors.
