Jack Kaiser
Vice president of strategic technologies, GreenPages Technology Solutions
Jack Kaiser heads up the VMware, EMC and Cisco Systems lines at GreenPages, a Kittery, Maine-based solutions provider. He joined GreenPages in 2009 after four years at International Computerware, where he helped the company win several awards, including VMware Market Maker of the Year and EMC Virtualization Partner of the Year. Kaiser has also worked at Sentinel Data Centers, Monetrics and Exodus Communications, which was the leader in data center solutions at the time. He graduated from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. with a degree in industrial distribution.
Rob McShinsky
Senior systems engineer, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center
Rob McShinsky is a senior systems engineer at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. and has more than 12 years of experience in the industry -- including a focus on server virtualization since 2004. He has been closely involved with Microsoft as an early adopter of Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008, as well as a customer reference. In addition, he blogs at VirtuallyAware.com, writing tips and documenting experiences with various virtualization products.
CJ Metz
Senior systems administrator, Orange County United Way
CJ Metz has been working with Orange County United Way (OCUW) for the past two years as the senior systems administrator, where he is in charge of all infrastructure assets and virtualization technologies. Prior to OCUW, he was in the U.S. Air Force as a senior systems administrator for base-level communications, supporting more than 3,000 users. He has been in the IT field in different capacities for the past eight years.
Greg Shields
Founding partner, Concentrated Technology
Greg Shields, MVP, vExpert, is an independent author, speaker and IT consultant, as well as a founding partner with Concentrated Technology. With nearly 15 years in information technology, Shields has developed extensive experience in systems administration, engineering and architecture, specializing in Windows, remote application and virtualization technologies. He is a contributing editor and columnist for TechNet Magazine and a regular writer for TechTarget and other publications, and he has authored or contributed to 10 books and countless white papers and webcasts.
Eric Siebert
Senior systems administrator, Boston Market
Eric Siebert is a 25-year IT veteran whose primary focus is VMware virtualization and Windows server administration. He is one of the 300 VMware vExperts for 2009, author of the book VI3 Implementation and Administration and a frequent TechTarget contributor. In addition, he maintains vSphere-land.com, a VMware information site.
Shannon Snowden
Consulting partner, New Age Technologies
Shannon Snowden is located in Louisville, Ky. and has been a system administrator, engineer and trainer for more than 10 years. Certifications he has held in that time include Microsoft MCSE and MCT, Novell CLP and CNI, VMWare VCP #12 and vExpert, XenSource XCP and XCT and Citrix CCA and CCI. He was fortunate enough to get involved with i386 virtualization from essentially the beginning, working with VMware products and their professional service engineers, and has expanded into Xen, XenServer, Hyper-V VirtualBox, QEMU and other platforms.
Dave Sobel
CEO, Evolve Technologies
Dave Sobel is CEO of Evolve Technologies, a Fairfax, Va.-based solutions provider that offers virtualization, networking and security services to small and medium-sized businesses. He also runs SMBVirtualization.net, a virtualization information and training resource for SMBs, and he is the author of Virtualization: Defined. A Primer for the SMB Market. You can find him speaking regularly at industry events, and he is an active member of Heartland Technology Groups in the United States and Europe.
