The VMworld 2009 conference kicks off Monday in San Francisco.

For VMware and other virtualization vendors, VMworld 2009 is a time to show off new products and entice new customers. For IT managers and systems administrators, the conference is all about networking with peers, learning about new technologies and attending sessions hosted by virtualization experts.

In this edition of This Week in Virtualization, Eric Siebert of vSphere-land.com talks about what will be the hot topics and can't-miss sessions at the VMworld 2009 conference. There's also news on the release to manufacturing of Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2.
