VMware channel conflict is heating up. Some VMware independent software vendor (ISV) partners say the company views them less as partners and more as competitors.

The issue came into the spotlight this summer, when VMware told Veeam Software to stop supporting the free ESXi hypervisor in its Backup and Replication 3.1 product. But other ISVs also say that VMware is cutting off their access to some technologies, limiting their ability to make third-party tools for VMware.

Hear all about this growing controversy in this edition of This Week in Virtualization. There's also news about Vizioncore's new free virtualization management tools.
