Vizioncore bundles virtualization security, management products
Virtualization security and management vendor Vizioncore is bundling all of its products into a new suite.
Vizioncore vEssentials Complete, released Monday at VMworld 2009, combines all six of the company's products: Analyze, Convert, Protect, Monitor, Optimize and Automate. It is available now for users of VMware vSphere Standard Edition or higher at a cost of $1,499 per socket. Existing customers who own at least one Vizioncore product can upgrade for $700, and customers who own the current vEssentials bundle -- which offers any combination of three Vizioncore products -- can move to vEssentials Complete for $300.
The company also plans to announce free versions of some of the products later this week at VMworld 2009 in San Francisco.
VMware piggybacks on Intel system builder channel
Intel system builders can now more easily pack VMware's Vsphere virtualization into servers they custom-build for small and medium-sized business customers.
The chip giant has a large and well established set of white-box server builders, while VMware's own system builder community numbers less than 100, the company told SearchITChannel.com.
