VMware vSphere Enterprise Edition gets reprieve

VMware won't force users to upgrade to vSphere Enterprise Plus Edition. The company has decided not to discontinue vSphere Enterprise Edition after all.

VMware will make vSphere Enterprise Edition available indefinitely, the company confirmed this week. Original plans were to replace Enterprise with the new Enterprise Plus Edition, which many users perceived as a forced vSphere upgrade that wouldn't be worth the additional costs.
