IT admins and Citrix partners said XenApp has given Citrix a foot in the door with potential server virtualization customers, and more have been opening that door since Citrix announced XenServer price changes in February. The company made the enterprise edition of XenServer a free product -- and included several advanced features that VMware and other vendors charge extra for.
