Julia Anderson

Despite having comparable advanced virtualization capabilities, RHEV still lags far behind VMware's vSphere and Microsoft's Hyper-V in terms of adoption rates.

The improvements to Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0 capabilities, including increased scalability, also make the platform a more viable option for larger data centers with bigger budgets. As an open source platform, however, RHEV has always been an attractive choice for budget-conscious shops, and if you don't mind a bit of fancy footwork configuring your environment, RHEV can provide you with many of the advanced virtualization capabilities of more expensive platforms.

Test your prowess of RHEV capabilities.
