Taking the Bronze award in the Systems and Performance Management category is Ottawa, Ontario Canada-based Embotics's V-Commander 2.0. This centralized, policy-based VM lifecycle management software gives IT enterprise-wide insight and control over its virtualization environments and integrates with traditional data center management systems.
The panel of judges said V-Commander is an enterprise-level virtual management platform that allows administrators to regain control. "Whether the task is virtual machine sprawl, identity management, and expiration dates of virtual machines or simply introducing a procedural approach, V-Commander delivers," a judge reported. "Administrators will like the history, reporting nd crisp Web-based interface to manage VMware-based environments."
