Microsoft GM: Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V R2 beats VMware on price

Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V R2 represents Microsoft's latest attempt to take on VMware in the server virtualization market.

In this video from the Microsoft TechEd 2009 conference keynote, Windows Server General Manager Iain McDonald said Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V R2 will offer live migration and other advanced features found in VMware vSphere 4. He also continued Microsoft's theme of criticizing VMware's prices as too high.
