Virtualization security risks are similar to the threats facing physical machines. But virtual machine security guidelines are very different from their physical counterparts.

In this video interview, virtual machine security expert Eric Siebert explains why you need to take extra steps to secure your virtual infrastructure (and especially your hosts, which are particularly vulnerable).

He talks with Site Editor Hannah Drake and shares several security guidelines -- both dos and don'ts -- that can help you put together a virtual security plan. The right plan can help you shore up your defenses against malware and other threats.
