VMware View 4 release coming as ESX dominates for VDI back end

The VMware View 4 release targets the desktop virtualization market, and VMware ESX is the dominant server virtualization platform for VDI.

The VMware View 4 release marks VMware's latest attempt to unseat Citrix Systems in the desktop virtualization market. But VMware still rules as the server virtualization back end of choice for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
